The Problem
Stone is India's most under-digitised industry.
India is the world's largest producer and exporter of natural stone. Rajasthan alone produces thousands of crores in marble, granite, and sandstone every year. Yet most of this industry still runs on phone calls, referrals, and chance encounters at mandis.
A builder in Hyderabad wanting Makrana marble calls a broker. The broker calls another broker. Two weeks and three middlemen later, the price has doubled. Meanwhile, the original quarry owner in Rajasthan has no idea there's a buyer 1,500km away willing to pay well.
